Apprentices and Trainees

Diploma training for Queensland Apprentices registered from 1 November 2011 totally FREE

Bright Futures Training College has Queensland Government User Choice funding for eligible students wishing to study for their childcare Certificate (Traineeship) or Diploma (Apprenticeship)

A Traineeship or Apprenticeship is a three way commitment between;

  • The Student
  • The Employer
  • The Training Organisation

Just about anyone who wants to combine training with working in a paid job is eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship

If you are already employed, you can still do an apprenticeship or traineeship

If you work part-time, you can undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship

Under a part-time apprenticeship or traineeship, you must work a minimum of 15 hours per week, averaged over each four-week period for the duration of the apprenticeship or traineeship

Casual or daily hire employees are not eligible to undertake part-time apprenticeships or traineeships, as there is no guaranteed pattern of work (which is a requirement of a training contract)

Recognition of Prior Learning is available
to all eligible apprentices and trainees

Our Apprentice/Trainee Co-ordinator, Shauna Spencer, along with our experienced Training and Administration team will manage your Traineeship or Apprenticeship from start to finish to ensure a positive and rewarding training experience for both Student and Employer

Bright Futures works closely with all of the Australian Apprenticeship Centres operating in Queensland
